I am always very pleased when Spring arrives! Daffodils, tulips, and crocuses sprout up practically overnight and the air smells so fresh. At In the Village, we look forward to spring because it gives us a chance to work with you on your spring look. Apparel is Sheer, transparent layers of fabric were spotted on a multitude of run-ways this spring and help expose the skin to warming weather. Other top trends include full skirts, high-waist trousers, shirt dresses, sailor pants, and suits with strong shoulders.

Accessories and Shoes. Luckily for fall trendsetters, cocktail rings and bangles maintain their titles as must-haves. Everything’s coming up roses in pink- gold metals for jewelry. Designers chose materials for accessories and shoes such as the still-popular patent leather, python, suede, and resin. Daring, color blocked shoes treaded heavily down the runways and will hopefully march into your closet this spring. Make up. Healthy, rose-colored blushes and lip colors add a feminine fresh- ness to the face. Exotic, gold eye shadow and a liquid bronzer will give you a slightly sun-kissed look during this transitional weather. Have fun with color this spring, by adding a soft blue eye shadow or a sheer coral gloss to your makeup bag.

In the Village & You Caring Together... Supporting the American Cancer Society... This year, In The Village will participate in the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life, at the CLEARVIEW HIGH SCHOOL, on June 6. 2008. This is an overnight event, that honors cancer survivors and remembers those who lost their battle to cancer. At In the Village we have set a monthly goal, as a salon, to raise funds towards our Relay for Life Team for the American Cancer Society. Please join us in our campaign by participating in our many exciting events. Our first Beef and Beer was a huge success and we raised over $10,000.00! We could not have succeeded without your support and we would like to thank you for your attendance and generous donations.
